Every scarf presents a truly original and unique design, the culmination of a creative process steeped in imagination, visual storytelling, design history, graphic design and print expertise, and the timeless craft of traditional illustration.

During her Foundation year studying Graphic Design, Julie discovered the liberating power of charcoal gestural drawing. By capturing movement and overall form, rather than fine details, she learnt that concepts retain their energy, allowing them to evolve into complex visual narratives. By connecting these ideas to styles associated with design movements of mid century modernism, late-modern and postmodern design - movements that inspired the designer to pursue a career in design - a unique signature style is formed. All designs presented in the Aquarius Collection begin this way, and evolve through layered processes into finely detailed production-ready artworks.

Colour and intricate combinations sit at the heart of the Aquarius Collection. Careful mapping, matching, and testing form a key part of the design process. Once the colour trials and strike-offs are complete, the final artworks are prepared for print. Our expert partners then print onto the finest 16oz pure silk twill, before the pieces are hand-rolled by leading British silk specialists in Macclesfield, historically celebrated asthe end of the Silk Road.

Eco-friendly Jade Meridian gift boxes are made in Britian, are fully recyclable and protect the scarves during storage and travel.

Our packaging partners consciously make a lower impact on the environment, helping to ensure the world's forests are not depleted. This product will soon carry the FSC mark, indicating that it is made from a sustainable and careful managed source.

Care

After wear, allow your silk scarf to relax and air.

Delicate dry clean only.

Do not wash, bleach, iron or tumble dry.

Storage

Silk should be cleaned before storage and placed in a breathable natural cotton bag.

Gently fold your silk scarf and store on a shelf or in a drawer, take care to avoid hanging as this may risk stretching the delicate fibres out of shape.

Store in a cool dry place.

Avoid direct sunlight.

Avoid contact with moisture.
