Rose Moon Rising | Aquarius Collection. Hand Rolled Silk Scarf

This silk scarf is an original design created in my London studio. I conceptualise and design every piece from scratch.

The process starts with visual storyboards, words, sketches and hand-drawn ideas and colour swatches. The early concept design evolves slowly through multiple stages of refinement, weaving narratives into visual form through illustrative techniques, layering and final decision-making on colour harmonies, contrast and balance.

Printed colour tests onto silk twill samples support the decision-making, and forms a framework for the careful preparation of artwork for print and strike-offs.

This scarf is designed as part of the highly collectable Aquarius Collection of original design edition silk scarves.

Crafted from 16oz silk twill, this scarf is light and breathable, yet beautifully substantial and long-lasting. The silk feels soft and smooth with a natural lustre, and as a temperature-regulating natural fibre, it helps keep you warm in cooler months while remaining cool and comfortable in summer. Gentle on the skin and exceptionally strong for its weight, it is ideal for everyday wear.

Each scarf is printed and hand-finished by leading silk specialists in Macclesfield, United Kingdom, with traditional hand-rolled edges that create a refined, timeless finish and ensure the scarf wears beautifully over time. Sizes may vary slightly due to hand finishing.

Macclesfield is often known as “the end of the Silk Road,” nestled in the foothills of the Pennines. Once the heart of the English silk-weaving industry and the world’s largest producer of finished silk, it remains synonymous with exceptional silk craftsmanship today.

All silks in the Aquarius Collection are made by our production partners, a leading house of silk in Macclesfield, invested in research and development for a more environmentally sustainable industry.

Our production partners are actively focused on energy savings in their production facilities, and in reducing the environmental impact and carbon footprint created through silk production.

Their production site is close to a water supply, the river Bollin, and thanks to this extraordinary position they are able to source water from their very own reservoir, producing printed fabric here for now over 50 years.

In addition, the size of our silk squares is optimised to eliminate fabric waste arising from production.

Each scarf arrives in a beautiful gold-foil branded luxury gift box made by a family-founded business in the United Kingdom.

Care

Delicate dry clean only.

Do not wash, bleach, iron or tumble dry.

Heat can cause damage to silk, and sunlight can cause fading. Air dry naturally away from sunlight and avoid heat.

Iron on the of the scarf back using a low setting without steam.

All scarves to breathe and air in breathable cotton or natural linen bags or containers.

Storage

Store in a cool dry place.

Avoid direct sunlight.

Avoid contact with moisture.

Orders are processed within 1-2 working days of receipt and are shipped with the secure Royal Mail Tracked & Signed service, requiring a signature on receipt.
